EASTER 2014 AT ST PAUL'S

HOLY WEEK ACROSS THE TEAM (press and click for a full report of the week)

This year Bishop Robert (of Penrith) led the services of Holy Week across the Cartmel Peninsula Team.  He writes:

Holy Week - the events leading up to the death of Jesus - is an intriguing and profound time.  Those events and their meaning go right to the heart of our deepest human emotions and needs - our life, our hopes, our failures and our passions.  'Songs of Love and Forgiveness' will explore some of those themes, using well-known hymns and songs abou the death of Jesus and the love of God.  Each session will be different, but will include prayer, reflection, ideas and music.  The sessions will be open and accessible to all - regular churchgoers or not - with the emphasis on being helpful and practical while exploring deep things about God and life.

The church at St Paul's was beautifully decorated, as can be seen from the photos below.  A particular feature was the cross which had been made by the children at the Primary school, which was surrounded by crosses that individual members of the congregation had made.
